IN BRIEF: After trailing 1-0 into the third inning, UC Clermont put up a four spot in the bottom of the third.  They added two runs in the bottom of the fifth, but that's all they would need as they defeated Wright State 6-1 in the opening round of the 2016 Small College World Series.

UC Clermont opened their scoring in the bottom of the third with a solo home run from Jake Murray.  Clermont followed that up with three more runs off a single from Anthony Bell, back to back doubles from Spencer Henn and Cody Riley, and a single from Jacob Beinke.  The Cougars added two runs in the bottom of the fifth, with an Anthony Bell solo home run and a Beinke double that scored Spencer Henn.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE: Kyle Miller of UC Clermont pitched five and one thirds inning and struck out six. AJ Sweatland came in to close out the game for the Cougars.
