FINAL SCORE: #7 Penn State DuBois 3, #6 Wright State Lake Campus 2

RECORDS: UC Clermont (22-21) | Wright State (13-28)

LOCATION: East Field Park in Glens Falls, NY

IN BRIEF: After trailing 1-0 into the first inning, Penn State DuBois put up a three spot in the fourth inning.  Wright State got back one in the bottom of the fourth, but it wouldn't be enough as the Lions win 3-2 to move on in the 2016 Small College World Series.

HOW THEY SCORED: Wright State opened the scoring in the bottom of the first.  After a D. Bell was hit by a pitch and T. Venters walked, Dakota Waterman advanced runners to second and third on a bunt.  I. Fitzgeral grounded out to shortstop, scoring Bell.

Penn State DuBois scored each of their three runs in the fourth inning.  The rally began with singles by Dan Bowman and Brandon Gettig.  Anthony Caruso reached on a fielder's choice, and Bowman scored an unearned run after an error at short.  Nick McGhee pinch ran for Caruso and scored following a single by Clayton Butler, a walk by Josh Sorbera, and a Zac Walsh two-RBI single which also pushed across Austin Amacher who pinch ran for Butler.

Wright State Lake Campus brought the game to within one run in the bottom of the fourth.  Connor Burr walked and advanced to second base on a passed ball.  After stealing third base, Burr scored on a Ronaldo Acosta single.  The Lakers of Wright State would leave a lone runner on base in the fifth and sixth innings, but got no closer to tying the game as Penn State DuBois advanced with the 3-2 win.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE: Penn State DuBois was led offensively by left fielder Clayton Butler who was 2-3 and pinch hitter Zac Walsh who had two RBI in his lone at bat.  Alex Hart for DuBois was tough to hit, allowing only four hits, but gave up five walks.  Wright State Lake's four hits came from four different players (Bell, Becker, Burr, and Acosta).

NEXT UP: Penn State DuBois advances in the elimination bracket to face UC Clermont at 9:00am EST.  Wright State Lake is eliminated from the 2016 Small College World Series after a competitive season.
