#7 Lindenwood-Belleville 8 - #10 Penn College 5

BUTLER, PA - In first round action at the 2013 USCAA Small College World Series, the Lindenwood-Belleville Lynx came from behind to defeat the Penn College Wildcats 8-5. Trey Meier led Lindenwood with a perfect 4-4 game and three RBI's. First-Team USCAA All-American Kyle Forsythe had three hits, and Dylan Skinner had two hits and two RBI's for the Lynx. 

Penn College got off to a quick start in the top half of the first inning, scoring four runs (one earned) off USCAA Honorable Mention All-American Joseph Phelps. Phelps would hold the Wildcats to just one more run the rest of the way, striking out seven Wildcats and picking up the win. Penn College managed 13 hits off Phelps, with Zachary Butterbaugh, Jeremey Rall, Zachary Weil, and Rantz Mahaffey having multi-hit games. 

Penn College will play the loser of University of Cincinnati-Clermont vs. Southern Virginia University at 8:30 AM on Tuesday. Lindenwood-Belleville advances to play #2 seed Clark State Community College at 4:00 PM today.
