#5 Penn State Greater Allegheny 6 - #7 Lindenwood-Belleville

BUTLER, PA- Penn State Greater Allegheny defeated the Lindenwood University-Belleville Lynx 6-3 to advance in the 2013 Small College World Series. The Nittany Lions will face the winner of #4 Selma University versus #10 Penn College for a chance to move into Thursday's play-in for a National Championship game berth.

The Lions did the majority of their damage in a five run second inning. The big hit came from Mike Visloski, who continued his strong tournament play with a bases loaded two RBI single to break the game open. Clay Groff and Oliver Girman added RBI's in an inning that featured two Lynx errors and two hits batsmen from starter Derek Cox.

Cox went all six innings for Lindenwood-Belleville, giving up six runs (five earned) and allowing seven hits. Kyle Forsythe finished a strong tournament by going 1-2 with two RBI's and two walks. Penn State Greater Allegheny's Oliver Girman and Sam Weightman each added two hits to their tournament total, and along with Visloski led the Lions to their third straight victory after being shutout in an opening day loss to Selma University.

Penn State Greater Allegheny's Eddie Emes takes the victory, throwing 4.1 innings, allowing only three hits, two runs, and striking out six.
