HOW THEY SCORED:

  • In the second Rossi stepped up to the plate with two men on base. A hit into left center was enough to bring both teammates around to opening the scoring in favor of St. Joseph's Brooklyn. Rossi was able to advance to second on the throw.
  • In the bottom of the fifth inning Tennessee Temple evened up the scoring with a triple in the right field by Ryan Bruce. He was called out due to interference but not before Micah Wyatt and Caden Shadri were able to score.
  • St. Joseph's Brooklyn took the lead over again when Nicholas LoPrinzi hit one up the middle and brought home Michael Camerada. This would prove to be the winning run in a very tight game.
  • The Bears doubled their lead over the Crusaders in the seventh inning. Thomas Mckenna tripled to left center and continued his hitting streak to 25 games. Chris Cutrone reached first base on an error and McKenna came around to make it a 4-2 St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn advantage and that is how the game would end.

BEHIND THE BOXSCORE:

  • Micha Wyatt of Tennessee Temple went two for three at the plate and had two assists for the game. He also pitched six and third innings allowing three earned runs on six hits. He Struck out five and walked four in their final game of the season.
  • Francis Rapp of St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn also went two for three at the plate while his teammate Vinny Rossi had two of the teams four RBIs. Brian Luebcke pitched a full game allowing two runs on six hits and striking out two.

St Joseph's College Brooklyn advances to play later today at 4:30 P.M. EST against the winner of the Apprentice School and College of St. Joseph's Vermont game. Tennessee Temple will be heading home after their second defeat of the tournament.
